Jeff Henry - 7th - 12th Grade Director
Jeff Henry has a diverse background of successful coaching experiences, and over the past twenty years, he has coached at nearly every level of basketball, including some international coaching experience. For the past eight years, Jeff has been the director of the Eclipse Basketball program in Wichita, and western Kansas. Jeff’s other coaching experiences range from being a girl’s head high school coach to being the boy’s head high school coach at Mari Stella College in Negombo, Sri Lanka. Jeff’s combined experience at the school and club level has provided him with a concrete understanding of the basketball environment in Kansas and across the Midwest.
Jeff currently resides in Andover and teaches at Rose Hill High School. Jeff is married to Dinah Henry, who teaches at Seltzer Elementary School in Wichita, KS. Jeff and Dinah have four children (Haley-26, Hannah-22, Peter-17, and Shanti-16).
Darren Vance - K-6th Grade Director
Darren has coached both girls and boys, ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade basketball for over eight years. Darren has received the award as the 2012 YMCA Farha Sport Center Coach of the Year. Over the past two years, Darren has coached two teams with Next Level Hoops Academy. Recently he was appointed as the Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for Hamilton Middle School.
Darren brings a solid foundation and understanding of teaching youth basketball to Next Level Hoops Academy. Darren currently resides in Andover and teaches math for Hamilton Middle School. Darren is married to his wife, Carmella Vance and they have two children (Amelya – 9 years old and Amara – 8 months old).
